City Hall of Jyväskylä / Opening Ceremonie

To celebrate 40 years of Diplomatic relations between Nicaragua and Finland, the exhibition of arts “From Nicaragua to Jyväskylä”, in Finland, organised by the Embassy of Nicaragua in Finland and the Municipality of the University-City of Jyväskylä. The exhibition include also “Lazos/Bonds” (Lienslazos) photos of Iara Vega-Linhares (Santiago, Chile 1972), nicaraguan photographer, journalist and graphic designer.

LAZOS/BONDS in Jyväskylä, Finland

On the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between the Republic of Nicaragua and the Republic of Finland the exhibition of arts “From Nicaragua to Jyväskylä” will be on display at the Jyväskylä City Hall’s entrance hall on 3 November – 16 November 2015, during the opening hours of City Hall: Mon- Fri at 8-16. Free entrance.

The exhibition include “Lazos/Bonds” photos of Iara Vega-Linhares (Santiago, Chile 1972), nicaraguan photographer, journalist and graphic designer, as well as ceramics from nicaraguan village San Juan de Oriente, located some 70km from the capital Managua.

Wonderful opening of LAZOS/SUHTED in the Kiek in de Kök Museum, Tallinn, Estonia

Lazos/Suhted, the photo-exhibition from Iara Vega-Linhares will be in Kiek in de Kök Museum, Tallinn until September 15, 2015. If you are traveling to Estonia this summer, don’t miss it !

The opening of the exhibition, last May 12, was a warm international exchange of culture and solidarity, the feedback from the Estonian public, artists and journalists was fantastic. Curious and wise glances to the unknown. The pleasure of showing trough images, one more time, and like if it was the first time, the beautiful story of friendship and solidarity between the people of two twin cities, San Marcos in Nicaragua and Biel/Bienne in Switzerland. A story that reflects so many similar stories.

El Instituto de Historia de Nicaragua y Centroamerica, IHNCA expone ONLINE en su Sala de Exposición Baltodano Cantarero a partir de Diciembre 2014 la muestra completa de Lienslazos. Todas las imágenes estuvieron colgadas en gran formato entre Octubre 2012 y Febrero 2013 en las tres salas de exposición del IHNCA, en la UCA. El libro Lienslazos también esta en venta en los locales de Instituto, en Managua.

La ville de Bienne est jumelée depuis 25 ans déjà à la ville de San Marco, au Nicaragua. En novembre dernier, la cité seelandaise fêtait ce quart de siècle avec une exposition photographique. Aujourd’hui, les grandes images ont été réduites au format d’un livre. La photographe Iara Vega Linhares nous présente son travail.
